To
the left is my latest creation....... It is pyroengraved and colored
with acrylics and water pencil
Burned
on a
8" x 10" piece of wood which my grandfather
cut for me.
I
just can't get enough
of dragonflies!!!!
Here's
a design I did on a set of congas.......The one on the right reads "Barron".
I
use the same two tips for all of my burnings.....a writing tip and a
shading tip. I prefer burning on Basswood. However, some of the
burning shown here may be in Plywood, mushrooms, roots, and anything
else I can find to burn :)
When
creating birds I use only a writing tip (except in the eye area)
This tip is very small and shaped like a sharp knife. It's wonderfull
for intricate work!
I
prefer the natural look of burning but every once in a while I will
use water pencils as seen in the piece on the left.
This
one is in progress. I'll admit it's a little strange! In the enlarged
image you will notice my design has been sketched in pencil and I am
blending two water colors together around the design.
Don't miss this great deal!
